Compare the Feminist and Fake News vinyl stickers on size, durability, and message to pick the right statement decal for your laptop or water bottle.
Quick answer
Pick the Feminist Vinyl Sticker if you want a bolder, slightly larger statement that reads clearly from a distance; pick the Fake News Vinyl Sticker if you prefer a compact, subtle accent that fits tight spaces. Both are durable vinyl decals from These Are Things, so your choice comes down to message and size.
Size and visibility on a laptop lid
The Feminist sticker measures 3 inches, while the Fake News sticker measures 2.5 inches. That half-inch difference matters on a laptop lid: the larger Feminist decal holds its own as a standalone statement, while the smaller Fake News decal works better as part of a cluster or in a corner where space is limited.
If you want the sticker to be the first thing people notice, go with the Feminist design. If you prefer a quieter accent that doesn’t dominate the lid, the Fake News sticker is the better fit.
Message tone and daily context
The Feminist sticker carries a clear advocacy message, so it’s a good choice if you’re comfortable with a visible statement that might start conversations. The Fake News sticker is more of a wry, topical aside—it can read as humorous or skeptical depending on the room.
Think about where your laptop travels: a bold message may be exactly what you want in a coffee shop or classroom, while a subtler decal can feel easier in more formal or mixed settings. Neither is inherently better; match the tone to your daily environments.
Placement flexibility and surface limits
Both stickers use peel-and-stick application and adhere to smooth surfaces, so they work on laptops, water bottles, notebooks, and similar items. The smaller Fake News sticker gives you more freedom to fit it around curves, ports, or existing stickers without crowding.
The Feminist sticker’s larger footprint means you’ll want a flatter, roomier spot—like the center of a laptop lid or a wide water bottle face—to keep it from wrapping awkwardly. Neither sticker is repositionable once pressed down, so dry-fit before you commit.
Trade-offs to weigh before you choose
- Bold statement vs. subtle accent: The Feminist sticker’s 3-inch size and advocacy message make it a clear focal point; the Fake News sticker’s 2.5-inch size keeps it quieter and easier to blend in. If you want your laptop to start conversations, choose Feminist; if you want a low-key wink, choose Fake News.
- Placement room vs. flexibility: The Feminist sticker needs a flatter, roomier surface to sit well, while the Fake News sticker can squeeze into smaller or more curved areas. Measure your intended spot before ordering—especially on water bottles with tapered sides.
- Message comfort vs. topical humor: The Feminist sticker is a direct values statement; the Fake News sticker leans on irony that may land differently depending on your audience. Consider where the laptop or bottle will be seen most often and choose the message you’re happiest repeating.
